Lemon Poppy Seed Muffin Recipe

Lemon Poppy Seed Muffin Recipe

Written by Becky

Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins are a favorite of my husband’s and one he grew up enjoying.  When we got married his sweet mother in law handed me several recipe cards of all of Josh’s favorite recipes that I needed to learn, one of which was an orange poppy seed cake. Though I haven’t made that one yet (and I can attest to its deliciousness), I do make these lemon poppy seed muffins for him from time to time. I hope I get some bonus wife points for that.

dolcetti gelato tasting

This past weekend we had one of our best SLCmixers yet. We gave the crazy heat here in Utah the strong arm and tasted Gelato all afternoon long.  And after we had our fill of gelato everyone left with a lemon poppy seed muffin for their Sunday breakfast. We hope for our gatherings to be gifts that keep on giving as people make new friends, taste more local products, and leave with a treat baked especially for them by me.

For a full review of our afternoon gelato fare check out theSLCfoodie.com.  Also, if you live in Salt Lake you must check out Dolcetti Gelato.  They have two locations, one at 9th and 9th and the other in the Avenues. They are constantly creating new flavors and their employees will happily give you ideas of how to creatively serve their gelato at home as well (check out this post for some dinner party ideas using gelato).

But since you don’t all live in Salt Lake and many of you can’t make it to our mixers.  Here is a gift just for you.
