What produce is in season in July in Utah

What foods are in Season during July?

Written by Becky

Is it July already??!!  I guess the weather here in Salt Lake is in agreement that it is in fact July but I’m not sure if I am.  I feel like I can’t even keep my sun-hat on the summer is flying by so quickly! Well the good thing is that as the summer progresses the amount of fresh fruits and vegetables available increases!  Another great thing about this time of year is that it’s picnic season and I absolutely love bringing a bowl of fresh cherries and some finger foods with me to the park for a meal under a shade tree. Also, I went to the Farmer’s Market for the first time this season over the weekend and there were already loads of fresh fruits and vegetables to stock your kitchen or picnic basket. Here’s a list of what’s in season and some local Salt Lake City bloggers’ recipes to go along with it, many of which are perfect recipes for the 4th of July!

How to make the seasonal produce image appear as your wallpaper:

Step 1 Click on Wallpaper Image, this will open the image in a new window on your screen
Step 2 Once image loads on a new page, right click (or ctrl-click) image and select ‘use image as desktop picture’
Step 3 If the image does not fit your desktop background neatly, you may have to go to your preference screen and choose “Fit to screen” as the display mode of your background image.

PS… If you were looking for my Friday Travel posts, I apologize, my family was in town this weekend so I didn’t get a chance to post but I promise a treasure of a post this week!

  1. Those cherries look delicious. I’ll have to head to the SLC Farmers Market soon, the Provo one is usually pretty sparse until the end of July.

Thanks for the shout out and I can’t wait to try some of the other recipes mentioned!

    Happy 4th!
