Last night we had a group of friends over for a little pot luck pre-Thanksgiving meal together. We each brought untraditional Thanksgiving side dishes to share. Our long wooden table was loaded with the most beautiful colors of fall, from bright pomegranate seeds, to earthy wild rice and rustic green brussels spouts. Oh and a new favorite for our Thanksgiving spread, stuffed spicy peppers! They were amazing, thanks to Justine. This is one of my favorite times of year so I plan on living it up and celebrating with friends and food as much as possible.
I hope the Seasonal Thanksgiving Pinboard will inspire you this Thanksgiving to eat seasonally and locally. They are really one in the same because if you are eating locally then you are also eating what’s available during harvest season. Here is a great write up from the NY Times on why the trend of eating locally is such a good thing: NY Times on Eating Locally.
The Pinterest board is such a great idea. I'm still trying to decide what I should take to my sister's house.
Yes, I love the Thanksgiving board on Pinterest. It's a great place to get new ideas, traditional and non-traditional.
So many great ideas for Thanksgiving. I am hungry already:)

The board has been so much fun getting ideas for new recipes and tinkering with the traditional ones. Thanks for the inspiration!!
