Eat Seasonal Guide for September

Written by Becky

In August and September produce is ripe and bountiful. We have been eating fruit like never before and Everett has even gained a word for berries (or grapes or plums really)- boppie, I think the word stems strawberry but I’m still learning :). I’ll also be preserving what I can to enjoy tastes of summer a little longer.  Next week I’ll be giving you canning tips and recipes all week long so I’m posting this seasonal guide a little early.  Kelley and Annalise will be joining me for canning week so you definitely want to visit all of our blogs if you’re interested in a fun project.

For those more interested in simply eating the fresh produce (like Everett) check out the blogs below for seasonal recipes. This month bloggers will be posting a seasonal recipe on September 9th! Also, many of the blogs below already have many seasonal recipes posted so make sure and find a few before you hit the store!
