Grilled Wild Alaskan Salmon Recipe

Written by Becky

We had a salmon feast with some friends the other night. Lucky for me, I know a guy who fishes in Alaska every year and brings back the most delicious Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon from Kwee Jack Fish CO. Lucky for you, he’s now selling his salmon to the general public, you can read more about how to buy Alaskan Salmon in Salt Lake City, on theSLCfoodie.com. For now, I’m just going to make your mouth water with this tasty salmon recipe.

Grilling fish is one of the easiest and most rewarding cooking ventures that you can possibly do. You only need a few ingredients and a high quality fish. All we used on this salmon was smoked sea salt, butter, rosemary and lemon slices. It has to be simple because if you have a really good fish you don’t want to distract from the flavor.

Along with our salmon, we enjoyed steamed artichokes with a variety of butters and a quinoa salad with tomatoes from my garden, cucumbers and a simple red wine vinaigrette. A perfect meal to enjoy in the backyard with a glass of white wine. We peeled back artichoke leaves and savored bites of flaky salmon as the sun set over the mountains.

    • hi Becky, If you don’t want to get the grill out you can also prepare it the same way and bake it at 400 degrees for 9-12 minutes. Remove at the first sign of flaking so you don’t overcook it.
