I feel like July is the month when I always have high hopes for my cooking then fun plans arise and I just don’t get to spend as much time at home or in the kitchen as I’d hoped. We’ve had family visiting, which usually means a lot of meals out, then I had a quick trip to Cincinnati (more on that soon!) but both of which did not leave me much time to cook. If it wasn’t for a few quality nights at home, our farmers market stocked fridge would have gone to waste.
July is often this way. I dream of lazy summer nights on the patio, a brown bag of fresh cherries to slowly enjoy and a special bottle of wine to share as the evening progresses, but we end up with a calendar filled with lists and plans. Luckily, we have gotten to go to the Farmer’s Market every Saturday, a weekly tradition, and we have made time to enjoy what we’ve brought home. And… we’re only half way through the month, so theirs still time for summer cooking, porch sitting and wine sipping! Here are a few seasonal, farmer’s market-inspired recipes that I think you’ll love.
