Abundance. Our garden is full, full of fresh herbs and sprouting produce, full of life, some with intention and some without, from a nice symmetrical rosemary bush to tangled and uncontrolled purslane; its stretching way beyond its boundaries and starting too look more similar to dreadlocks than a neat and organized urban garden. But this is all typical for August and for us. We start off the summer so motivated and then loose a little interest, letting things overgrow. I think subconsciously, we even like it best this way. Sometimes life is just better a little on the fly, a little overgrown and wild. We’ll enjoy it’s abundance this month and enjoy the beauty of its tangles.
