Seasonal Produce Guide for November

Written by Becky

The holidays are upon us!  While fall is my favorite time of year, Thanksgiving is my very favorite holiday.  What’s not to love about sharing a big meal with those close to you?!!  I love everything about it, making food all day with those with me in the kitchen,  finding inexpensive ways to decorate the table, sitting down for the big meal and passing around all of the different dishes we’ve carefully selected, sipping the wine we’ve paired, slicing into my favorite pie, and even taking the time to do all of the dishes (probably with some good music in the background).  More and more so, I’ve tried to create side dishes that are fresh and seasonal (everything taste better when it’s fresh!).  Here are some of my favorite sides from years past and stay tuned because I will be sharing a whole week of side dishes later this month!

Spanish Carrots with Fennel and Hazelnuts

Light Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Mashed Rutabaga with Ginger Roasted Pears

Roasted Delicata Squash with Chestnuts and Pomegranate

Root Vegetable Gratin

Quinoa Stuffed Acorn Squash

Sautéed Brussels Sprouts with Hazelnuts

Also, I have a full post on my favorite Thanksgiving Pies and Easy Thanksgiving Table Decor Ideas.

Below and above are images for your computer desktop and phone to help remember what’s fresh this month. I look forward to hearing what makes the list for your Thanksgiving table this year!!

  1. Love the new phone wallpapers these last few months. Very handy for the grocerystore! I send it (and a link to the post) to all the grocery shoppers I know 🙂
