Sometimes a thick slice of toast spread with a generous amount of butter and topped with fresh made jam is the perfect ending to a late summer day. Last week I picked up a hearty loaf Stone Ground Bakery's Honey Wheat Bread and a jar of Tagge's Jam from the Utah Food Co-Op's Monday Market Sale. That very day, Josh and I enjoyed our toast and jam as an afternoon snack or the porch with Henry nagging at our feet. While I was at the market earlier that day I also picked up blueberries, blackberries, pluots, chicken, sausage, carrots, purple bell peppers, zucchini, squash, lemons, and a few other things I can't even remember for $25! Today the Co-Op is offering the same deal as last week: Mention SLC Foodie and get $5 off every $30 spent. And because their food is already reduced, you're getting the equivalent of $60 of local groceries for only $25.
The Monday Market Sale at the warehouse is TODAY from 3:30-6:30 PM at their warehouse, 1726 S 700 W. They accept cash, credit/debit cards, and the Horizon card (EBT).
Visit the Utah Food Co-Op online and sign up for next month's food share.
