Utah’s Seasonal Produce in July

Written by Becky

July in Utah makes me think of wild flowers up Little Cottonwood Canyon, camping, mojitos on the back patio, and Saturdays at the Farmer’s Market. This mid summer month brings us bright blue blueberries, sweet corn, lots of fresh herbs (especially mint and parsley), beets, broccoli, juicy cherries, crisp cucumbers, garlic, green onions, a wide variety of lettuce, mint, new potatoes, peas, rhubarb, and strawberries.

To download this month’s wall paper on your computer, please see the first post on Seasonal Produce in Utah.

Here are some recipes to make use of all of the great foods in season:

  1. July marks the beginnings of the many bounties coming our way! Just thinking of all the fresh produce makes me giddy!!

  2. Tiff, I know! Josh and I were just talking about what I will do for these wallpapers once there is no seasonal produce. I guess lots of root vegetable posts :)

  3. Becky! I love your wallpapers. I printed mine out and have it at my desk. I check off them as I eat/use them in dishes.

I'm about halfway through! Still have blueberries, corn, broccoli, lettuce, cherries, green onions, garlic, new potatoes and rhubarb left. (it only counts if I {obviously} buy them local or get them from the garden.)

    Thanks again.
