Our last Artistic Mixer was so much fun that I became even more excited about these mixers in general. They are just such a fun way to meet new people around Salt Lake and to experience more of the arts in Salt Lake City.
If you missed the mixer in January here is a recap. We dined at the Wild Grape Bistro then went to the Utah Opera’s performance of Hansel and Gretel. The food and service at Wild Grape was fabulous as usual and the Opera was way more entertaining and enjoyable than I had even hoped it would be. The story of Hansel and Gretel brought back memories of childhood. It was a very whimsical performance with gingerbread houses filled with candy, themes of good verses evil with a witty old witch, and songs about fairies and rice pudding. The dinner and performance made for an absolutely delightful evening.
The Artistic Mixer idea originated over french toast and baked eggs as Quinn Curtis, the Artistic Mom, and I dined together at Communal in Provo. It is an effort to get out, experience the city more, be inspired by the arts, and meet new interesting people in Salt Lake. I hope you will join us in these fun events!
